"We love Clancy's portrait. It feels like we have brought him home again. It is hanging in the room where we spend the most time (where he spent the most time too). Every time we walk in the room either of us will say, 'Chubbs!' If there is a doggie heaven, I can now completely imagine it, perfect weather, clean river for swimming, rolling hills to bounce kong on, and one tree for a bit of shade (but in doggie heaven, no dog overheats).
I am so glad I had you paint the larger size. He is practically life size. Our cat actually stares at his face as if she recognizes him. She misses him too. It's nice to think that this will be part of our family forever. We will be able to share the 'story of Clancy' with our children and it will be elaborated on for generations. Eventually, he will be a god! Hee.
It's funny, that a portrait can bring so much joy to a home but it has. And sharing my story with you has been very cathartic... I will always appreciate you. I know that you are correct in saying that Clancy is in the portrait... I really believe it.
...Scott, a man of few words wanted to share his impressions for you to put with Clancy on your site :).
...."Absolutely perfect, you have captured Clancy's soul, personality and spirit in the painting...  we may have to leave treats out for him again..."
